Ramona L. 'Squint' Cooley, age 93, of Washington Court House, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at Court House Manor.
Born September 16, 1932, in Peebles, she was the daughter of Harry Cecil and Virginia Pearl Brooks Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cooley, on January 10, 1997.
Squint loved to sing, write songs, and play guitar; she was very proud of writing a song, 'Letter to Uncle Sam', that was played by her favorite artist, Loretta Lynn. A devoted homemaker, she loved dancing, playing basketball and spending time with her girls and grandchildren. When she was able, Squint attended Center Faith Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Rosanna Predmore of Sabina and Brenda (Steve) Anders of Washington Court House; grandchildren: Carla, Allen, Shannon, Michelle, Chad, Ashley, Robert and Ryan; numerous great-grandchildren, including: Brittin, Christen, Chassity and Cherokee; and great-great grandchildren, including Marleigh and Olivia. Squint is also survived by her sister, Carolyn June Miller, of South Charleston, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by daughters: Larain Cyphers and Venus Booher; grandson, Tyler Predmore; and siblings: Junior, Bill, Willa Jean, Geneva, Bernita, Marilyn, Joy, Jean, Sharon, Billy, Jerry, Ola and Elmer.
A graveside service will be held at Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2pm. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
