Richard 'Dick' Roberts

Richard ‘Dick’ Roberts, age 96, of Waverly and formerly of Wilmington, passed peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Born on July 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary Jane Haynes Roberts.

Dick was a graduate of Wilmington College and continued his studies, receiving a master’s degree in ministry from Webster University and completed post-graduate studies at Earlham College. He retired from Quality Quaker Management in Wilmington, after 19 ½ years. He was a former pastor of Dover Friends Meeting and, at one time, was the organist and choir director at Quinn Chapel AME Church in Wilmington. Dick also served as the Minister of Music, Emeritus, of the Community Church of Cincinnati.

Dick was preceded in death by his former wife, Jean A. Stangle Roberts, brother, Robert W. Roberts and Sister, Dorothy L. Sullivan.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 12pm- 1pm at Littleton Funeral Home. A graveside service, at New Antioch Cemetery, will follow.
