Richard D. Meadows

Richard D. Meadows, age 71, of Sabina, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026.

Born in Cincinnati on October 17, 1954, he was the son of John and Ora Davenport Meadows.

Richard is survived by his wife, Susan Matson Davenport.

For 30 years, he worked for General Motors. Richard loved to garden and fish, but found the greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He attended Waters Edge Christian Church in Xenia.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by their daughters: Stacey (Paul) Bogan of Sabina and Cherie (Paul) Daughtrey of Jamestown. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Kristyn (Matt Mongold) Jones, Kathryn (Phillip Ramirez) Bogan, Abigail ‘Rose’ (Derick) Smith, Paige (AJ) Flinn, and Ezekiel Daughtrey; great-grandchildren: Reid, Wesley, Waylon, Julius, Violet, Maverick, Maylin and Kaiden; along with a brother, Michael (Wanda Sue) Meadows.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin, Russell and Johnny.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Waters Edge Christian Church (1159 Old US 35, Xenia 45385), from 9:30 – 11am, when a funeral service will begin. Burial is to follow at Silvercreek Cemetery, Jamestown. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
