Richard K. Steiner, age 69, of Bloomington, and formerly Washington Court House, passed unexpectedly, as a result of an automobile accident, on Friday, December 14, 2018.
Born in Jamestown on September 9, 1949, he was the son of the late Gene Steiner and Alice McVey Steiner Leslie.
A 1967 Greenview High School graduate, Richard was currently working as an operator at Melvin Stone, where he’d been employed for over 20 years. He previously worked at MacTool in Sabina and Washington Court House. Richard was a fan of anything John Deere and was an avid collector of horse-drawn antiques. He loved NASCAR, the Bengals and the Buckeyes. Richard was happiest spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Richard leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Angela Holbert Steiner and his sons: Scott (Erin) Steiner of St. Paris and Shawn (Jami) Steiner of Sedalia. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Hunter, Braxton, Corbin, Hunter, Carter, Gunnar, Scarlett, Aleyna, Austin, Alex and Aiden; step-son, Tony (Susan) Swigert; sisters: Barbara Speaks and Nancy (Jack) Elkins; sisters in-law: Bambi White and Pamela (Roy) Kingery; special great niece and nephew, Allyson and Jacob George; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his grandson, Cheston, and sister, Sandra Harrison.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 5-8pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 11am. Burial at Milledgeville Plymouth Cemetery.
