Robert G. Brooks, age 84, of Wilmington, passed away at his home on Monday morning, June 28, 2021.
He was born in Melvin, February 19, 1937, the son of James and Flossie Drake Brooks.
Bob is survived by his wife Jenny Chestnut Brooks.
He retired from the Clinton County Highway Dept. in 1992 and was a member of the former Immanuel Baptist Church of Wilmington.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children: Wilma (Tom) Griffith, William (Jan) Brooks, Ronald (Amy) Brooks, J.R. (Stacy) Brooks, Susan (Paul) Sarver and Mark (Angela) Turner; along with several grand and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Nellie (Ronald) Cooper.
There will be no visitation and burial will be in Clinton Memory Gardens at a later date.
Contributions are suggested to Community Care Hospice.
