Robert Lewis Johnson, 94, of New Vienna, passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2016 in Clinton Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born March 16, 1922 the son of Stanley and Margaret Thornburg Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rebecca Wolfe Johnson.
A 1940 graduate of New Vienna High School attended The Ohio State University, was a lifelong farmer, born and raised on Derivan Rd. family farm. He raised hogs, sheep and Guernsey dairy cattle, a DeKalb seed corn dealer, owner of Johnson’s clothing store for 10 years, East Clinton bus driver, Elder at New Vienna Church of Christ, member of Masonic Dalton Lodge, Boy Scout leader, member of Guernsey Breeders Assoc.
He loved music, a member of the Sonshine Band singing and playing the guitar. Also loved fishing, wood working and carving, beekeeping and gardening.
He is also survived by his children, Ruth Ann (Mike) Liming and John (Kathy) Johnson. Grandchildren Tracy (Ashley) Mongold, Jennifer (Snow) (Brent) Marshall, Joseph (Melanie) Johnson, Jessica (Eric) Harper, Miranda (Travis) Stanforth, Jonathan (Kayli) Johnson, Andrew (Rachael) Liming and 10 great grandchildren. Sister, Shirley (David) Allen. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Hampton Johnson.
Funeral service will be on Monday April 18 th at 4:00 at the New Vienna Church of Christ. Friends may call from 2:00 until the time of service.
Burial will be in the New Vienna IOOF cemetery.

The funeral service for Robert Lewis Johnson was held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the New Vienna Church of Christ with Brad Clouse officiating. The Dalton Lodge presented the Masonic Memorial Service.
Jodee and Julien Thomas sang a medley of songs.
Pallbearers, for burial in the New Vienna IOOF Cemetery, were Joey and Jonathon Johnson, Andrew Liming, Eric Harper, Travis Stanforth, Ashley Mongold, Kale Mongold, Mason Snow and Luke Johnson.
