Robert W. Pauley

Robert W. Pauley, age 72, of Sabina, passed away at home after a valiant fight with ALS, on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2023.

Born in Sabina on February 2, 1951, Bob was the son of the late Arthur and Mildred (Swartz) Pauley.

Bob is survived by his wife, Wilma (Hopson) Pauley.  The two were united in marriage on July 30, 1971 and would have been married 52 years this summer.

An East Clinton High School graduate, Bob went on to work for Pennington Bread, MAC Tool, Vermeer, Cincinnati Milacron, and retired from JCB - American Equipment.  The owner and operator of Pauley’s Wrecking and Towing, he had been towing for 49 years.

Bob was a member of the Sabina Moose Lodge for nearly 50 years and a member of Dragin’ Angels of Washington Court House.  He enjoyed restoring cars, attending car shows, putting on and running in derbies and playing horseshoes.  Bob loved telling jokes and pranking others.  He could always be found participating in the ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’ skit as a Soggy Bottom Boy and liked helping with the Final Resting Place – Haunted Junkyard.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by their children: Arthur (Kimberly) Pauley of Sabina, Angie Pauley of Sabina, and Alisha (Alan) Borton of Wilmington.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Lileigh and Otto Pauley, Autumn Smith, Natalie and Elizabeth ‘Charlie’ Borton; brothers: Warren (Debbie) Pauley of Washington Court House, Joseph (Peggy) Pauley and David (Brenda) Pauley, all of Sabina; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Fravel, and brother, Larry Pauley.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter (1170 Old Henderson Rd, Ste. 221, Columbus 43220).

Friends may call at the Sabina Church of Christ on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 10am – 1pm, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Sabina Cemetery.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
