Roberta M. Smedley

Roberta M. Smedley, age 98, passed peacefully at Court House Manor in Washington Court House, Ohio. 

She was the daughter of Albert Vincent and Mary Agnes Radcliff Lambert, born on June 10, 1928, in Morgan County, Kentucky. 

Roberta was a beloved, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Roberta was devoted to her family and cared for them in countless ways. She loved to cook, garden and was an amazing quilter. She also worked for many years as a house cleaner and loved to build relationships with the families she helped. She was a determined strong woman who lived on her own after her husband's passing until she was 96 years old. 

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and all 11 of her siblings. Also preceded by her husband William D. Smedley and son Mitchel Smedley. 

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Jeannie) Smedley, Larry (Rose) Smedley, Debbie (Dan) Curliss. Her five grandchildren, Staci Garrison, Michelle Wagers, Melissa Smedley, Matthew Smedley and Sinamon (Ryan) Cluxton. Great grandchildren, Austin, Elijah and Israel Garrison, Mitchell and McKenna Wagers and Sam and Ari Cluxton. She was also "granny" to bonus family Azalea and Cohen Angne. 

Private family services will be held on November 7th followed by burial at Memory Gardens, Wilmington Ohio.
