Rosa (Johnston) Ault

Rosa L. (Johnston) Ault, age 88, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Jamestown Area Emergency Room.

Born February 4, 1935, in her beloved Roane County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Roy E. and Caroline Blosser Tanner.

After high school, Rosa worked various places and took care of her family.  Then, at 39, she went back to school to receive her LPN degree and worked at Eden Manor and Autumn Years Nursing Homes in Sabina.  She then became the owner/operator of Rose’s Adult Care Center in Jeffersonville, where she helped many families in the care and loving of their loved ones. A member of the Center Christian Church, Rosa enjoyed word puzzles, crochet and mostly her family and patients.

She is survived by her children: John (Elaine) Ault of Hillsboro, Kenny (Patti) Ault of Jeffersonville and David (Robin) Ault of Washington Court House.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Charity Carper, Hillary (Maxwell) Myers, Jacob (Alexa) Ault and Zachary (Regan) Ault; great grandchildren: Brayden and Landen Carper and Jaxon and Charlie Ault, and McKenzie Carper; along with a great-great granddaughter, Juniper Carper.  Rosa is also survived by special longtime friend, Tina Cooper, and sister-in-law, Barbara Campbell.

She was the last of nine siblings, preceded in death by Robert Roscoe Tanner, Dora Brittingham, John Tanner, Delbert Tanner, Tom Tanner, Butch Tanner, Elmer Tanner, Carol Sue Tanner and Larry Campbell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffersonville Life Squad or Center Christian Church.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
