Rosemary L. Harris, age 72, of Xenia, Ohio, passed very peacefully into the presence of her Savior on Monday morning, December 12, 2022. She was in the ICU unit at the Kettering Hospital at the time of her passing.
Rosemary was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ann Harris of Sabina and was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Larry Lorenzo Harris, her sister, Deborah Ann Hollins and her twin brother, Joseph James “JJ” Harris. She was a graudate from the East Clinton High School, Lees Creek, Ohio and worked in various accounting departments at the NCR Corporation, Dayton, Ohio for over 34 years and was currently of retired status.
She was a strong, devout Christian with her membership at the First Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, Ohio. Some of her church duties that she performed were as follows: assistant Sunday School secretary, choir member, coordinated and orchestrated the Resurrection Day and Christmas programs and made sure that the Christmas candy order got in on time, order church supplies such as the Sunday School literature, Communion cups, bathroom and kitchen supplies. She also helped out with dinners that the church would have for various occasions. She volunteered at the Food Pantry in the Xenia area. She was always concerned with others needs and would put them above her own.
She was a wonderful sister, true friend and an encouragement to all who needed it. She had a love for animals, especially cats and horses. She had a strong faith and would not deviate from truth no matter what…strictly would go by what the Word of God said. Heaven has received yet another angel from the Lawrence & Ann Harris family.
She leaves behind to cherish many loving memories, her sister, Karen Scarver (Greg Scarver), her sister, Charlene Harris (her side kick…when you saw one, you would see the other). She leaves behind her beloved cat named Ashton. Also, she leaves behind her brother-in-law, Tom Hollins, sisters-in-law, Faye Harris and Paula Harris and a hosts of nephews and nieces, great and great, great nephews and nieces.
There will be a private viewing for the immediate family only with graveside services to follow at Sabina Cemetery. The service will be officiated by her pastor, Pastor James A. Smith.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, Ohio.
