Seth Elijah Thomas Harmon, age 14, of Wilmington passed unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, he was the son of Joshua E. and Heather M. Harmon.
Saved as a young child, at 8:30pm on November 6, 2017, Seth was a warrior of the Lord. He openly shared his love for the Lord to any captive audience. Seth was enthusiastically active in multiple ministries at Bible Baptist Church Wilmington.
Seth was a freshman at Clinton Massie; he had spent the summer working at the Clinton Pool and Tennis Club and was a regular in helping residents with yard work at a local retirement community. Seth was a helper and a doer, in any way he could lend a hand, he was willing and useful. He enjoyed playing golf, LEGOS, tinkering and was constantly thinking and problem solving.
With a smile that lit up a room, Seth never knew a stranger. He was kind and giving and had a knack for including every single person; he truly saw people when they needed to be seen. Seth was so loved, so easy to talk to, and was constantly striving to be a leader. Well known in the community, his vibrant personality and wonderful disposition were only accentuated by his signature crazy hair.
Along with his parents, left to cherish Seth’s memory are his beloved siblings: Noah, Jonah, and Felicity. He is also survived by grandparents, Terry and Brenda Baugh; aunts and uncle, Melissa Ray, Renee and Danny Baugh, along with several cousins and a host of amazing church family and friends.
Seth was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby McCormick.
A memorial service will take place at 6pm on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at Bible Baptist Church Wilmington. A time of fellowship will follow the service. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, Seth’s family would greatly appreciate memorial donations to Bible Baptist Church Wilmington for Summer Camp, an experience Seth always looked forward to!
