Sharon Ann Trivett, 82, of Wilmington, Ohio, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, died peacefully in her sleep and surrounded by loved ones on February 15, 2026,
Sharon was Born November 18, 1943, to the late Ruth Watson (nee Gaskins) and Thayne Gray.
Her husband, John B. Trivett, preceded her in death June 16, 2021. They were married May 26,1959.
She was an active and devoted member of Dover Friends Meeting.
Sharon was a 1989 Graduate of Wright State University with a Master of Science. She became a Licensed Social Worker in 1990 and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in 1995.
Sharon was big on volunteer work with the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. She also worked with the Bolivian Quakers building Schools. She went to New York to help people after the tragedy of 9/11. She also went to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina to help people.
She was the glue that held our family together. Her house was the place for all of our family gatherings. She cared and talked to people that didn’t have anyone and spoke for the ones that couldn’t speak for themselves.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Teri (Tim) Tamplin, grandchildren Scott (Tiffany) Trivett, Eric (Jessie) Batten, Jessica Torres, Katie Williams, Ashley (Tylor) Batten, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son John S. Trivett, brother Kenneth Gray, sisters Vivian Cox, Virginia Peterson, and Catherine Earley.
Services are to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Dover Friends Meeting, 257 Dover Road, Wilmington, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm, when the service will begin. There will be light refreshments and fellowship afterwards.
