Steve A. Brown

Steve A. Brown, age 61, of Sabina, passed at home on Thursday, November 8, 2018.

Born in Xenia October 3, 1957, he was the son of James and Shirley Pitzer Brown,  of Jamestown.

Steve is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janet ‘JB’ Cramer Brown.  The two were married on September 17, 1978.

Steve was a graduate of Greeneview High School.  He was self-employed in the construction business for more than 30 years.  A Jefferson Township Trustee, Steve was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1689 of Xenia, a member of the Antique Power Club and the Clinton County Bee Keepers Association.  Steve was active in the Masonic community; he was four-time Past Master of Jamestown Lodge #352, Past High Priest of Xenia Chapter #36, member of the Wright Council #96, Drill Team member of Nathaniel Green Commandery #81, member of the Fayette Chapter of Mark Lodge #4, 32rd Degree Mason of Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, Member of the Antioch Shrine of Dayton, member of the Knights of St. Andrew, and charter member and treasurer of the Widows Sons, Sons of Tyre Chapter.

In addition to his parents and wife, Steve is survived by his children, Jessica Robinson of Jamestown and James (Holly Jenkins) Brown of Kettering.  Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: J.R., Owain, Brady, Izzy, and Kendyl; his brother, Philip Brown of Xenia; two nieces; and a host of in-laws and other family members and friends.

At the request of the family, memorial contributions should be made to the Jamestown Cancer Care, PO Box 35, Jamestown.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, from 4-7pm, when a Masonic service will commence.  The funeral service, also at the funeral home, will be at 11am Thursday, friends may call from 10am until the time of the service.
