Thelma S. Pennewitt, 93, of the New Antioch Community for the last 70 years, passed away on Sunday May 10, 2026, at Miami Valley Medical Center. Born February 26, 1933, in Jefferson Township to Winford and Alice Botts Sharp. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Phillip, who passed November 30, 2014. She was a 1951 graduate of Hillsboro High School being a part of the Sight Saving Class and briefly attended Wilmington College. She worked at Wilmington G.C. Murphy as a clerk before she married and became a homemaker. She was a member of the Martinsville Community Methodist Church and later attended Richland Methodist Church. She is survived by her children; Agnes (James) Adams of Wilmington, Alice (Dean) Stewart of New Antioch, Mark (Patricia) Pennewitt of Wilmington and Ivan (Tammy) Pennewitt of Midland. Grandchildren; Penny (Chester Chan) Stewart of Mobile AL, Clark Stewart of Hanoi, Vietnam, Deanna Pennewitt of Solon, OH, Crystal (John) Severance of Bronson, MI, Monica Pennewitt of Slater, MO, Andrew Pennewitt and Betsy Pennewitt both of Midland. One Great grandchild, James Cole Severance. One brother Samuel (Ethel) Sharp of Martinsville. Preceding her in death were twin granddaughters, Ann and Beth Stewart and Thelma's siblings, Stanley Sharp, Wayne Sharp, Mary Brown, Howard Sharp, and Charles Sharp. Visitation will be on Thursday May 14, 2026 at the Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina, OH, 5 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.
