Thelma L. “Snookie” Funk, 68 of Bowersville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Born in Ironton, May 7, 1955, she was the daughter of Lindsey Wilson and Eva Henderson Arehart.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Funk in 2006.
Recently retired from Greenview Schools after 28 years, Thelma was a member of the Bowersville Church of Christ and also attended the Trinity Full Gospel Church.
Thelma is survived by her children: Tonya (Kenny) Cox of Bowersville and Barry (Shannon Yost) Funk of Xenia. Also left to cherish her memory are granddaughter; Mackenzie Cox; very special nephew, Anthony Malone; special granddaughter, Zaniyah Yost; siblings: Debbie Hansen and Carla Thackett both of Bowersville, and Terry Wilson of Jamestown; sister-in-law, Kitty (Kenny) Butts and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Thelma was also preceded in death by her sister, Judy Cox.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bowersville.
