Virginia M. 'Ginny' Bernard

Virginia M. Bernard, age 67, of Sabina, passed peacefully at Adena Medical Center on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Born on June 27, 1958, in Washington Court House, Ginny was the daughter of the late Stanley and Georgianna Ross Bernard.

A 1976 East Clinton Graduate, Ginny was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed babysitting. She loved tending to her flowers and tomatoes, watching for hummingbirds and cardinals, and spending time with her family. Ginny looked forward to her ‘Friday Thing’ with her beloved daughters, where they would go to lunch and spend time together. She cherished her time with her grandchildren, most of all.

Left to cherish her memory is her partner of nearly 40 years, Rex Burris; daughters: Megan (Frank) Evans of Blanchester and Candace (Jason Smith) Burris of Sabina; grandchildren: Caitlyn, Eric and Jocee; sisters in-law and friends, Tonda Bernard and Gina Bernard; and great friends: Cameron Young, Chasen Young, Caden Young, and Jan Moses.

In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her brothers: Neil Bernard, Kenny Bernard and Joseph Bernard.

A graveside memorial service will take place at Sabina Cemetery on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1pm. Littleton Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
