Wanda J. (Arrasmith) Cornett

Wanda J. Cornett, age 87, of Sabina, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, February 28, 2018, at Court House Manor. Born July 15, 1930, in New Antioch, the daughter of Ernest and Della Calhoun Arrasmith. A graduate of Wilmington High School, Wanda was a member of the New Antioch Church of Christ. She retired as the head teller for the Sabina Bank after many years of service. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cornett, whom passed away in 1978. She is survived by her children, Carol (Jerry) Mercer of Wilmington, Bruce (Ruthie) Cornett of Plain City, and Gary Cornett of Sabina. Wanda was preceded by her son, Jim Cornett, grandson, Shane Mercer and her brother, Ernest Jr. She is also survived by grandchildren: Bethany Cornett, Cheryl Mercer, Dr. Julie (Randy) Mercer-Dasher, Jennifer (Brian) Martin and Robbie Cornett; great grandchildren: Elle, Addison and Gunnar Martin. A private funeral service will be held at Littleton Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions are suggested to Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County. The family would like to thank all the nurses of Court House Manor and Fayette Memorial Hospital including Cheryl Royster of Fayette Memorial and Ohio’s Hospice of Fayette County.
