Cynthia 'Cindie' Beth Smith

Cynthia 'Cindie' Beth Smith, age 58, formerly of Wilmington, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center.

Born in Wilmington on April 5, 1962, she was the daughter of Gilbert (Sherry) Smith and the late Carolyn Ledford McKenzie.

Cindie was a 1980 graduate of Wilmington High School.  She had a true passion for drawing; she loved to read and watch movies, and was an avid fan of crime shows and the ID channel.  Cindie also loved anything Irish and Scottish.  Her life’s joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Misty (Joseph Wilson) Michael of New Vienna and Thomas (Felicia) Romans of Blanchester; her father, Gilbert (Sherry) Smith; grandchildren: Bailey Michael, Morgan Michael, Daulton Wilson and Zeke Romans; two great-granddaughters on the way; lifelong best friend, Roberta Banta and her family; along with nieces: Lindsey Smith and Lauren Lachuga.

In addition to her mother, Cindie was preceded in death by her brother, Todd Smith.

A celebration of Cindie’s life will be held at a later date.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
