Daniel 'Fitz' G Fitzpatrick

Daniel 'Fitz' G. Fitzpatrick, age 49, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and formerly of Southern Florida and Sabina, passed away in Lake Charles on Tuesday November 16, 2021.

Born in Washington Court House on May 31, 1972, he was the son of the late Daniel Lawrence Fitzpatrick and Patsy and Robert Albright.

A 1990 graduate of Washington High School, Fitz had become an ordained minister, serving in many capacities, including rebuilding a church and Cameron Parish Head Start following a flood and two hurricanes. One of his special qualities was to help people. Fitz enjoyed driving a truck for Naples Wholesale, where he was known as “Dan the Shrimp Hauling Man" and was working as a Senior Supervisor with the Williamson’s Brothers Construction Company.

Dan is survived by his daughter and son in law, Alyssa and Shawn Smith of Washington Court House; grandchildren: Bentlee and Carter Smith and Sophia Wilson and her mother, Amanda Wilson; special friends including: Jennifer Curvelo, Joe Williamson and longtime best friend, David VanDiver; siblings: Reason (Michelle) Albright, Wendy (Chris) Cease and Kimberly Albright Kroninger.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his son, David G. Fitzpatrick, and a grandson, Graysen Smith.

Memorial contributions would be greatly appreciated to Littleton Funeral Home, to help with expenses.  

Funeral services will be on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Noon at the Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial to follow at Highlawn Cemetery.  Friends are invited to a luncheon, following the cemetery, at the American Legion in Washington Court House.
