David L. Ostermeier, 89, of Wilmington, was embraced by the arms of Christ early Saturday morning, January 5, 2019 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Springfield, IL on December 6, 1929, the son of William H. and Wilhemine Stach Ostermeier.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Eileen Marsh Ostermeier whom he married January 28, 1951. Along with his children: Mark (Becky) Ostermeier of Martinsville, OH, Marsha Bradley of Louisville, KY, Mitch (Jean) Ostermeier of Milford, OH, Mary Gay Boyer of Covington, KY and Michelle Wysong of Liberty Township, OH; as well as 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Charles Ostermeier of Wilmington, OH.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard Ostermeier and William (Bill) Ostermeier.
A Jefferson Township School graduate, David farmed and was a clerk/livestock buyer at Producers Livestock. He also served as President of Blanchester School Board and was involved with many other community organizations.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 120 E. Columbus St, Wilmington, OH, followed by a luncheon. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the Service begins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
