Dorothy Jane Barlow, age 91, of Sabina, passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
Born in Clarksville on March 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Opal Ann Sewell McCollister.
A 1947 Clarksville High School graduate, Jane worked at Clinton Memorial Hospital for 20 years, and later, worked as an aid at Prairie View. She was a devoted member of the Sabina Moose Lodge and former member of Women of the Moose. Jane loved her dog, Hannah.
She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Settlemyre of Martinsville and Linda Juilfs of Wilmington. Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Jennifer (Brent) Harter, Mandy (Josh) Gillis and Sarah Glover; great grandchildren: Breyonna, Gabriel, David, Faith and Logan; four great-great grandchildren; special close friends, Vicki Deeds, Trica Warner, Kenny Ross and Mike Walls; and caregivers: Annie and Allie Creachbaum.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her former husband, John Settlemyre; son, David John Settlemyre; grandson, Jacob Juilfs; and brothers: Robert McCollister and Leo McCollister.
Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Care Hospice (PO Box 123, Wilmington, 45177) and Ride of Pride Equine Sanctuary in Blanchester (P.O. Box 282, Blanchester, 45107).
A graveside service will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11 am. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
