Elaine Thompson, age 88, of Blanchester, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020, at her home.
Born March 11, 1932, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Paul and Hazel Kaiser Willson.
Elaine worked at L & K restaurant for 25 years, before working at Buckeye Molding-Huhtamaki Inc. for another 25 years, up to her retirement. She was the founder of “Bags of Hope” which made special gifts that were always given away to nursing home residents, children, homeless shelters, teddy bears to police departments, Christmas trees and countless other gifts to anyone she could share with. Elaine always thought of what she could do for others and never herself.
She is survived by her children: Rebecca (Michael Waits) Waits of Blanchester and Rick (Sherry) Thompson of Sabina. Also left to cherish her memory are 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Willson of Toledo.
Elaine was preceded in death by her former husband: Richard “Red” Thompson; daughters: Sandra Watson and, infant daughter, Theresa Thompson; grandson, Anthony Paul Watson; and siblings: Juanita, Betty and Buddy.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.n. at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina. Her funeral service will be at the funeral home, on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at New Antioch Cemetery.
