G. Danny Binkley

George Daniel ‘Danny’ Binkley, age 79, of Sabina, passed away peacefully, at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, on Thursday, January 28, 2021. 

Born on April 17, 1941, in Fayetteville, he was the son of the late George and Eloise Downard Binkley. 

Danny is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy McDowell Binkley.  The two were united in marriage on May 17, 1996. 

Danny served his country in the United States Army.  For over 25 years, he was a machinist, working at the Randall Company in Wilmington and R.K. LeBlond in Norwood.  In his spare time, Danny loved to fish and enjoyed taking his grand and great-grandchildren when he was able.  He enjoyed playing SKIP-BO, watching wrestling and Jerry Springer.   In his younger years, he enjoyed coon hunting, his beloved Mustang, and “driving fast”.  Danny was a big kid at heart, always had a great sense of humor and was a jokester –  who never knew a stranger.  He cherished his time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by his children: Kimberly Dawn Dabe of Sabina ad Rick (Shari Richmond) Binkley of South Lebanon; along with step-children: Melissa (Carl) Slone of Columbus, James (Jessica) Seitz of Washington Court House, Pam Rhinehimer, and Patty Messer.  Also left to cherish his memory are 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

Danny is preceded in death by his siblings: David William Binkley, John Douglas Binkley, and Carolyn Sparks; along with great-grandsons: Christopher Binkley, Carter Fryer and Lucius McClure; and former wife, Wanda Mae Snider; and step-son Johnny Huffman.

Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Saturday, January 30, 2021, from 10-12Noon, when a funeral service will begin.  Burial to follow at Clinton County Memory Gardens.
