Francis lived a life full of service for over 91 years. He was born October 2, 1930, and went to be with His Lord June 1, 2022. He is survived by his helpmate, Geraldine Faye Rooper, who he married July 5, 1952. Francis was serving as pastor of Johnson Chapel located at Teays, West Virginia when he met and married the love of his life. Their service to the Lord included churches near Warrensville West Virginia, Jeffersonville Indiana, Jackson Kentucky, and several Friends churches in the Wilmington area. Francis enjoyed work trips to Belize and Jamaica. He worked with the Friends Disaster Relief who helped clean up and rebuild after hurricanes, floods and other disasters. Francis devoted 16 years teaching 7Th grade history at Blanchester Local School. After retiring Francis felt the need to stay busy: cutting and hauling firewood, visiting the sick and shut-ins, travelling and tinkering with lawn mowers, etc.
His parents were John and Julia (Arold) Parks. Francis was the 4th of six boys raised on a fruit farm near Towson, Maryland. His brothers include: Wilbert, Charles, Ernest, Richard who are deceased and survived by brother Joseph Franklin (commonly called Mike).
His greatest accomplishment is his family. Francis leaves behind 3 children: Judy Parks (Dan Santee), Michael Parks (Yong), Timothy Parks (Ena), 6 grandchildren: Jonathan Santee (Caryn), James Santee, Shawn Parks (Tiffany), Eugenia Parks, Denroy Parks, Josh Parks, and 8 great grandchildren: Tyler Santee, Nick Santee, Caleb Santee Kailin Parks, Marlee Parks, Orlando Parks, Malachi Parks, and Ezekeil. He enjoyed holidays and family gatherings with plenty of food and laughter.

The pall bearers will be grandkids and his brother: Mike Parks, Jon Santee, James Santee, Eugenia Parks, Denroy Parks and Josh Parks.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cuba Friends Meeting on June 25, 2022, at 2:00pm. Since Francis loved desserts, feel free to bring a dessert to share after the Memorial Service.
