Hubert Ross, age 83, of South Salem, passed peacefully, at home, on Monday, January 6, 2020.
Born in Waynesville on October 3, 1936, he was the son of the late John Henry and Blanche Younker Ross.
Hubert is survived by his wife, Peggy Secrest Ross. The two were united in marriage on September 1, 1956.
A jack-of-all-trades, Hubert worked on the bridge crew for the Clinton County Highway Department. He was great friends with the Mennonite Community and a member of the Carpenter’s House of Prayer.
Hubert is survived by his children: Anthony W. (Brenda) Ross of Chillicothe, Teddy L. (Linda Howland) Ross of Peebles, Terry I. (Lisa Perrone) Ross of South Salem, and Tina (Chris David) Ross of Peebles. Also left to cherish his memory are nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Marcella Ross of Wilmington, and a host of extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by son, Tracey Ross, who passed on June 25, 1985. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Bill, Raymond, Archie, Alma, Thelma, Arthur, and John.
Family will receive friends at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Thursday, January 9, 2020, from 11am – 1pm, when a funeral service will being. Burial will follow at Sabina Cemetery.
