Jerry W. Bennett, age 77, of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday morning, August 13, 2022, at Autumn Years Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sabina.
Born in Clinton County on September 23, 1944, he was the son of Marvin and Mary Gregory Bennett.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Ames Bennett. The two were united in marriage on April 25, 1965.
He was a lifetime farmer and was well known for selling sweet corn for over 30 years. Jerry was a member of the Wilmington Elks and McCall’s Coffee Club; he also enjoyed attending the National Farm Machinery Show and Tractor Pull in Louisville every year.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his children: Melissa (Paul) Krause and Brian (Velvet) Bennett of Wilmington. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Lauren and Stephen Krause and Barek, Drake and Trent Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Autumn Years Nursing and Rehabilitation and Community Care Hospice for their generous support.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Christ Hospital Foundation and Community Care Hospice.
There will be no services according to Jerry’s wishes. Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina has been entrusted with arrangements.
