Karen Belcher Obituary

Karen Jane Long Belcher, age 79, of Morrow, and formerly of Sabina, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Bethesda North Hospital.

Born on February 5, 1944, in Clarksville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph H. and Illene Brown Long.

Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Jerry Belcher, on October 4, 2015.

She was a member of the Sabina Church of Christ.  She was a 1962 graduate of Sabina High School and had retired from the Great Oaks School District.  Karen’s greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones; her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because it brought her family together.

Karen is survived by her children: Robyn (Rich) Kerman of Morrow and Brian (Stephanie Littler) Belcher of Gallatin, TN.  Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Brittany (Sawyer) Jerrell, Allison (Josh) Miller, Nathan Belcher, Erica (Ryan Lombardo) Kerman, Ryan Kerman and Lauren Kerman; sister in-law, Judy Long; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Edwards, and brother, Bill Long.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 3-5pm at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, where a funeral will take place at 1pm on Sunday.
