L. Max Sharp Obituary

L. Max Sharp, age 90, of Hillsboro, and formerly of Wayne Township, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021, at the Kettering Medical Center.

Max was born in Lees Creek on June 10, 1930, the son of Thomas L. and Ferrie Mae Nunn Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bentley Sharp, whom he married June 30, 1951.

Max was a former agent for Nationwide.  He also worked at Landmark, was a school bus driver, a mail carrier, a lifetime farmer and carpenter.  Max had retired as a Wayne Township Trustee after many years of service. He was also a member of the Community Christian Church, former Boy Scout leader, baseball coach, enjoyed boating and camping with friends and family and participated in Operation Christmas Child.

Max is survived by his children: Debbie (David) McKenzie of Soddy Daisy, TN, Patti Flint of Sabina, Dr. Michael Keith (Leslie) Sharp of Pagosa Springs, CO., and Steven (Cris) Sharp of Sabina. Also left to cherish his memory are grandchildren: Dawn Elzey, Brad (Dee) Flint, Erin (Donald) Morrow, Missy (Anthony) Conley, Craig (Dr. Mary) McKenzie and Kyle (Dr. Thomas Proctor) McKenzie; great grandchildren: Garrett, Maura, Gavin, Brady, Nolan, Morgan, Mason, Maya, Owen, Breanna, Harley and Heath.

In addition to his parents, Max was preceded by grandson, Patrick Flint; sister, Christine Duncan; and brother, Thomas Junior Sharp.

A visitation will be on Wednesday March 3, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, with a funeral service to follow at Noon. . Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery, Lees Creek.

Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the East Clinton Athletic Boosters or the American Cancer Society.
