Nellie L. (Paul) Sandells

Nellie L. Sandells, age 78, formerly of New Vienna, passed peacefully on Friday, August 27, 2021.

Born November 12, 1942, in Jeffersonville, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Stella Coder Paul.

Nellie retired from Kroger, where she worked as a cashier for over 20 years, her customers knew her as their Kroger girl.

Nellie or GrandNellie to her grandchildren would spend hours in her yard tending to her beautiful flowers that she loved so much. She enjoyed her daily walks to the Post Office with her dog Missy and spending time with all her family. She will be missed by so many.

Nellie is survived by her daughters: Linda (Thomas) Shaw and Debbie (Bryan) Linkhart, all of New Vienna, and Judy (Mark Thomas) Henderson of Leesburg.  Also left to cherish her memory are grandchildren: Jami (Jeff) Daniel, David (Megan) Shaw, Heather Linkhart, Jessica Linkhart, Jeremiah (Miranda) Vanscoy, Michael (Khadija) Vanscoy, and Shannon (Daniel) Duclos; great grandchildren: Ashlee, Megan, Ryan, Emelyn, Cole, Aiyana, Madison, Isabella, Gracelyn, Gunner, Mason, Michael and Noelle; great-great grandchildren: Isabelle and James; and siblings: Irene Coonrod, Alice Williams, Kay Williams, and Jerry Paul; along with her precious dog, Missy.

In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by siblings: Delbert Paul, Herbert Paul, Elsie Craig, and Alfred 'Bud' Paul.

The family will be holding a celebration of Nellie's life at a later date.  Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, has been entrusted with arrangements.
