Sally Palmer Obituary

Sally Charlene Palmer, age 57, of Loveland and formerly of Hillsboro, was called to Heaven on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Sally passed away at UC West Chester Hospital following COVID-19 complications.

Sally was born in Wilmington on January 6, 1964, to loving parents Charles T. Dawson & Sue Ann Dawson.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; former spouse, Charles Palmer the father of their three children: daughter Teresa (Josh), son Tyler (Leah), and daughter Brittany (Doc), nephew Tucker, and grandchildren Annie, Sophia, Sydney, Grace, Lincoln, Grant, Hallie, and Charlie Quaid. Also left to cherish her memory are sisters: Kathleen, Dixie, Cynthia, Crystal (Charlie), Shirley, Carla; brothers: Chuck (Delores), and Craig; brother-in-law, Greg; sister-in-law, Cheryl; stepchildren: Josh & Natosha; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other special friends and family.

Sally was a lover of life, with a boundlessly generous spirit toward her family. She was fiercely protective, loving, trustworthy, kind, and supportive; strong-willed, unwavering, and brave, Sally was tough. She understood the importance of forgiveness and hardwork. She had fond memories of working on the farm and sweating in the sun in her younger years. She was the first person in her family to earn a college degree and eventually became a registered nurse, a career she has cherished for the last 25 years. She survived all three of her children's high school years', which was a feat in itself. She had a soft-spot for hound dogs, sparkly shoes, and Mountain Dew and found peace spending weekends at her father's cottage in the country - where she amassed her darling collection of vintage campers. Sally always cheered for the under-dog. She was a master of each of her roles: Mom, a Nan, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a friend.  Sally was a member of the Hillsboro FreeWill Baptist church and a true believer in Jesus Christ.

Sally was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer & Elsie Mitchell; grandparents, Alva & Grace Dawson; her beloved parents; step-mother Anna Dawson; brother, Curt Dawson; sister, Jaqueline Dawson; grandchildren: Tyler Mostafin Palmer & Emmett Seip; niece, Sara Jane Dawson; nephew, Jay Harold Dawson, and several other family members and friends.

Charitable contributions would be appreciated to: Hillsboro FreeWill Baptist Church, 6360 US RT 50 W, Hillsboro 45133).
