Shirley I. Kingery, 82, of Octa, passed Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Four Seasons Nursing Center in Washington Court House.
Born in Bellbrook on October 21, 1935, she was the daughter of Argus and Lillian (Johnson) Saylor.
A graduate of Bellbrook High School, Shirley was a waitress and retired from Garners Union 76 Tuck Stop after over 30 years. She enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening, and quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Kingery, Jr.
Shirley is survived by her children: Barbara (Philip) Steiner of Octa, Beverly Loyd of Washington C.H., and Joseph (Julie) Kingery of Sabina. Also left to cherish her memory are 6 grandchildren: Samantha (Nate Caudill) Steiner, Heidi (Duncan) Massie, Lisa (J.B.) Tompkins, Shannon Kingery, Caitlin (Matt Taylor) Kingery and Eli Gorman; 15 great grandchildren; and two sisters: Donna Fairchild of Middletown, and Judy Nelson of TN.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery; there will be no visitation.
