Shirley A. Noes, age 86, of Bloomington, left this earth for her heavenly home on November 12, 2022.
Born near Reesville on March 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Ruby Sellman Storer.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of the Sabina area. She graduated from Sabina High School, class of 1954.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James M. ‘Buddy’ Noes on May 3, 2001. The two were united in marriage on August 20, 1955.
Shirley moved to Bloomington in 1962, where she resided until her death. She was an active member of the Bowersville Church of Christ for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid, helping with many meals over that time. Shirley worked, for several years, in the dietary department at Greene Memorial Hospital until her retirement.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Jo Thompson; brother, Ralph Storer; and sons in-law, Jerry Sloan and David Thompson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Tammy Sloan of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Tina (Don) Teynor of Jamestown, Ohio; five grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Odel, Carrie M. Whitaker, Bethany (Eric) Bowers, Brooke (Tyler) Rich and Rhett (Ashton) Jessop. Shirley enjoyed her eight great-grandchildren: Rhiannon VanZant, Cade and Colt Whitaker, Kailyn and Landon Bowers and Ava, Emma and Jace Rich. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a devoted wife and mother, and a kind and gentle person who will be missed by all that knew her.
